Basic Background
Mar. 24th, 2021 07:35 pmShiloh is the third of eight children, freshly eighteen and recently having left home. One of their elder two siblings joined the military, while the other is incarcerated; two of their younger siblings are full blood, while the remaining three are half siblings. Shiloh has been an integral part of raising their younger siblings, along with their sisters, however recent tensions with their step father regarding their coming out as non-binary have made things tense at home, leading to them leaving for the nearest major city in search of a more lucrative job than they could get back in their home town. With the intention of sending money back home to continue helping with their younger siblings, and hopefully easing the strain of the controlling situation from their step father, they're desperate for a solution that will alleviate the burden on themself as well as their family.
Raised in a religious household but not themselves religious, Shiloh approaches life practically and with a straight-forward mindset. While generally respectful in all settings, they are skeptical of others and their intention, and are more concerned with their own safety and well-being than those around them. They are slow to make connections with others and tend to assume that people view their age as a liability. They work hard and tend to refuse assistance.
In January, they took on a job from a mysterious man called Edward Islington, who told them that they were to assist six others in delivering a doll to a family friend's daughter. They were selected because their youth would help to ease the transition. They also stole a small, leather bound book from the office where they were interviewed and which, they later discovered, was the fetish item which bound a fae-like creature in service to them.
